About Us

Montegut Fire Department located in southern Terrebonne/Lafourche parish was established in 1947. We serve an area of 540 square miles with a population of 4,123, providing fire, rescue, and EMS. Our department is a combination department with 5 career members and 30 part-time or volunteer members.

Montegut Fire Department is proud to serve our community by protecting life and property through the prevention and mitigation of fires and other emergencies.  Our priority will always be the safety and protection of our community.
